Neil Coffey represents Smart Tech Company to introduce their new laptops. He is at Atlantic Machines Company now. Purchasing manager Ms Vivian Watts has a conversation with him.

Neil Coffey: Good.

Vivian Watts: Ah, yes.

Neil Coffey: Hello.

Vivian Watts: Ah, nice to meet you, Mr. Coffey.

Neil Coffey: Nice to meet you too. 

Vivian Watts: Have a seat.

Neil Coffey: Thank you. As we spoke over the phone, I came to discuss our new laptops. And I brought some promotional literature, too.

Vivian Watts: Good.(referring to the picture) I’m quite interested in this one that offers great portability at an affordable price.

Neil Coffey: Yes, that’s our Q330 notebook computer; it is versatile and powerful to meet the most demanding tasks. Of course, it is attractive, well-featured and competitively priced.

Vivian Watts: This model seems to be quite affordable and attractive to those who often travel for business.

Neil Coffey: Yes, definitely, it's the perfect for those who travel around. It’s a sub-2kg laptop, which is very slim.

Vivian Watts: What about its CPU performance?

Neil Coffey: Of course, you'll get good CPU performance. The laptop ships with an Intel Corei3-350M CPU that runs at 2.26GHz and it has Hyper-Threading. Along with 4GB of DDRS DRAM and a 640GB, of course it is quick with 5400rpm hard drive, and it offers a faster, smarter and more PC like multi-tasking environment.

Vivian Watts: That’s good. What about the battery then?

Neil Coffey: Its battery has a sustainable capacity for up to 8 hours on a single charge. Recently it was tested at 3hr 41min in our rundown test. In that test, we maximize screen brightness, enable Wi-Fi, disable power management, and loop Full HD MP4 file.

Vivian Watts: Well, I’d like to know more about its design and features which makes it different from the other laptops.

Neil Coffey: Sure. The Q330 has a silver, brushed finish on its palm and a dark, glossy lid. Its keyboard has chiclet-style keys so it is reasonably comfortable to type on. The location of the touchpad isn't centred though, it's an off-set right. Along the sides you get a built-in DVD burner, Gigabit Ethernet, HDMI, microphone and headphone ports, and three USB ports.

Vivian Watts: Is there anything special about the function of the USB 2.0 ports?

Neil Coffey: Yes, yes. The USB 2.0 ports support Chargeable USB feature, which means you can charge all devices like MP3 players and mobile phones that all have a USB connection — even when the laptop is in sleep mode or turned completely off. It's very convenient when travelling as it means you don't have to take chargers with you everywhere, just make sure that you pack the appropriate USB cables.

Vivian Watts: That’s very impressive. It is the right thing we are likely to buy for our staff.

Neil Coffey: Oh good, good! This is a great notebook for you to consider. In particular, we love the fact that it's 13.3inches. Most of the other models are 15.6, of course that makes our model a little easier to carry around to and from work or going on business trip. The notebook's performance with a Core i3 CPU, is good enough to run taxing tasks in addition to everyday office applications.

Vivian Watts: Well, I’d just like to confirm the price.

Neil Coffey: Sure.

Vivian Watts: Does it cost $1,200?

Neil Coffey: Yes, it does, it does. We can give you a discount of 5% if you order more than 10 sets.

Vivian Watts: Is it OK for a discount of 10% with an order of 20?

Neil Coffey: I’m not sure we could go that high. But I can talk to my manager and I’m sure that we could work something else.
