Michelle Wang: Here is our product showroom.

Jeremy: very nice

Christina: Well, Miss Wang, there are so many different types of air conditioners. So amazing. We are interested in this new type of air conditioner but we are not quite familiar on its functions. Can you introduce it to us?

Michelle Wang: Sure. This is floor standing air conditioner. So, as its name indicates, it stands on the floor, different from the one hanging on the wall. And, the air conditioner contains four parts: compressor, evaporator, condenser, and expansion valve. Only the evaporator is used indoors.

Jeremy: Sounds good, so how does it work?

Michelle Wang: Well, its working principles are the same as the wall-hanging conditioner. And it is a kind of electrical equipment, so discharging heat from indoor to outdoor by consuming power.

Jeremy: And, what will happen if I press that central button?

Michelle Wang: That's the switch button. When you press the button, the air conditioner is electrified. And the displayer will show some basic information, which means the air conditioner is working.

Chirstina: So, what are the functions of the air conditioner?

Michelle Wang: It’s a multi-functional air conditioner. And the basic functions of this one are air distribution, refrigeration and dehumidification. And we have some models that have the capacity of heating.

Chirstina: How to switch these functions?

Michelle Wang: It’s very simple. There is a mode button and on the displayer, and when you press it, and the different functions will be switched.

Jeremy: If I feel too hot or too cold, what should I do?

Michelle Wang: You can adjust the temperature by pressing the temperature control button. Also, you can adjust the force and the direction of the wind to the comfortable degree of human body.

Jeremy: Oh, that’s easy.

Michelle Wang: Yeah, actually, we can do all these with a remote control as well. See, so this is the remote control.

Jeremy: Air conditioners need some sort of refrigerating fluid. How does that work?

Michelle Wang: And refrigerating fluid is essential to the system of air conditioner. It works like a “remover” and transforms heat.

Christina: Dose the air conditioner have dehumidification function?

Michelle Wang: Yeah, Well, this function utilizes the low temperature of the air conditioner and to condense the water in the air and then drain it away using condenser pipe.

Jeremy: And I am curious why using air conditioners uses so much electricity .

Michelle Wang: Well, the lower the temperature, the higher the power consumes. And when the temperature outdoors is, you know, higher, the power consumption is also higher. So that’s why it costs a lot when using air conditioner in summer.

Jeremy: I see! I see! Thank you so much for your impressive introduction.

Christina: Thank you.

Michelle Wang: You are welcome.
