Telephonist: Good morning, Etoinfo, can I help you?

Mr. Simpson: Good morning. This is Thomas Simpson from TCIM International. Can I speak to Mr. Dodd?

Telephonist: Sure, please hold for a second. I’ll put you through.

Mr. Dodd: Dodd speaking.

Mr. Simpson: Hi, Mr. Dodd, this is Thomas Simpson calling from Miami. We met last year at the trade fair in Cleveland.

Mr. Dodd: Oh, yes, Mr. Simpson, how are you? It has been a year since we met last time.

Mr. Simpson: Pretty well, thank you! How are things going on with you, Mr. Dodd?

Mr. Dodd: Well, not too bad but a bit too busy. You know, we’ve got a lot of orders recently. Anything we can help you?

Mr. Simpson: Yes, Mr. Dodd, you see, our company is thinking of finding a new supplier of cell phone battery for next year. We need some PV-76 and XP-33 models. I am just calling to find out if you guys are manufacturing these models.

Mr. Dodd: Well, just call me Michael. I think you have just asked the right person and at the right time. We have just got a new kind of battery which is of high-tech. It is water-proof and can last a very long time.

Mr. Simpson: Oh, that’s good news for us! I am really interested in this. If the quality is satisfactory, then there is the potential that we’ll place a large order. Can you send us the catalogue which includes best specifications and pricing?

Mr. Dodd: Absolutely sure. I’ll tell our sales manager to take care of this immediately. We can also send you a sample and you can test it.

Mr. Simpson: That’s very nice of you. Thanks a lot. Can you send the catalogue and the sample directly to me? You still have my card?

Mr. Dodd: Yes, I think so. I’ll ask our sales manager to give you a call when she sends it.

Mr. Simpson: Thanks. It’s so nice talking with you. Hopefully, this is the beginning of our cooperation and we can have more opportunities in the near future.

Mr. Dodd: Yeah, I hope so too. I hope we can meet again at the trade fair this year. Have a nice day, Mr. Simpson. Thanks for calling.

Mr. Simpson: Bye-bye!

Mr. Dodd: Bye!

(This time, the call is made unsuccessfully)

Mr. Simpson: OK, thank you.
